Our collection has been carefully selected by Masons in-house wine experts Dom and Tim and they’re so confident in their quality that English wines take pride of place right at the top of the menu.
As you can imagine finding the right soils, aspect, slope, altitude and microclimate for the vines to grow can be tricky here in the UK but we’ve sourced delicious sparkling, white, rosé and rarer red wine to make sure all tastes are covered.
A mere 10% of wines made in England are red so our Sixteen Ridges Pinot Noir Early from Herefordshire is pretty special. This red is round and fruity with hints of spice, cherry, raspberry and earthy notes. It has a subtle soft oak finish and would be ideal for pairing with our Gressingham duck breast or lamb rump. If you’re celebrating a special occasion then our sparkling Henners Brut is like biscuity brioche on the nose with citrus and apple for a rich but bright character. Delicious!
Masons’ restaurant owner Stephen Cliff has a personal favourite in our Sharpham Dart Valley Reserve English white wine from Devon. “Its light fresh notes make it the ideal partner to our Risotto or Pea & Leek Tart on our a la carte menu”.
